ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Joktan Faulk was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh. At only two years of age he began to create, drawing figures of people and turning them into his own creations. Eventually his art transitioned into darker imagery that mirrored his bottled emotions, as art became the only thing that he could turn to in order to express his emotions.
Joktan soon grew to love this dark style of expression and knew that art is his life blood. He decided to pursue his passion for art as a full time career and enrolled in Douglas Education Center’s Dorian Cleavenger Fantasy Art Program and acquired an Associate’s Degree in Digital Illustration. Soon after graduating, he began to create murals and commissioned fine art in Pittsburgh and beyond, bringing his unique style into each piece. He continues to make his fantasy creations and teaches others the skills that he’s gained along the way in hopes of inspiring new artists around in the region and abroad.
